Lease Return and Tire Wear

Does any one know what the minimum tread depth requirement is at lease return to avoid getting charged for new tires? I'm trying to decide if I should just buy new tires now and at least get some use out of them before my lease ends in November.

mine were bald and i didn't get charged anything.

It varies from dealership to dealership..you could probably call yours and ask

they charged me for my rims, but my tires where pretty bald and they didnt say anything.....

also my spare was a diff tire and they had no problem either
