Any one jump from a B6 S4 to B7 A4, or vice versa?
Anyone have any thoughts about going from the B7A4 to a B6S4?
But, yes, it is thirsty. However, if you're worried about what the gas costs, you can't afford the car.
The main reason I got the 2.0T in the first place, is that with mild mods the car is reasonably quick and still gets great mileage.
The main reason I like the V8 is that I prefer NA motors - turbos are fun, but the mild boost lag and sensitivity to the 91 octane California gas make the V8 tempting.
B6 S4's are a good deal compared to B7's, since they have the same important bits. If I got a B6 S4, I'd get the RSN-E satnav installed, and go to Stasis for a rear torque bias diff (among other things), and deal with having the older style no problem.
i think my main concern is buying a used car - ive always bought new. since this is a cpo still warranted for a while (4 yrs or 40,000 miles left on the warranty) it takes a little of the concern away.
oh, and im sure i'll get many speeding tickets - its a brilliant red S4....haha...
im gonna go test drive it tomorrow after work
