For everyone installing SIRIUS with ONE Antenna
A couple of weeks ago I installed my Sirius module into the sidewall of the my B7 A4 2.0t no nav, no tpms. When I got into the sidewall area where the wires were located I only found one antenna wire, NOT the two that most DIY guides show. Although I was able to connect the one antenna wire and it worked, because there was no connection to the second input on the Sirius module, the radio would show ANTENNA instead of the station name.
After a bunch of research I decided to try the infamous Y-splitter, Terk SIR-SP. I couldnt get it from any local stores and the first Ebayer I bought it from mysteriously refunded my money because of lack of inventory. Finally I found another Ebayer that had a decent price and I received it last night.
The first interesting thing to note is that the connections are NOT exact. The little bumps dont match up perfectly. The single end that connects to the single wire in the car will need to be shaved round to remove all bumps. Also, the green lead on the dual end of the splitter will need to be dremelled on the inside upper left corner to MATCH a bump found on the sirius module. This is all the alteration that is needed.
With trepedation I turned on the radio and...wow, my radio was constantly showing the station name. No more ANTENNA on the dash. A super quick fix. Anyways, I hope this helps everyone out there. If you have any other questions feel free to email me.
