New A4 Driver's Door Noise?
I have a brand new 2007 A4 2.0T FSI Quattro sedan. I just was curious about something. Whenever I open the driver's door, a strange sound comes from beneath it. It sounds like some sort of heavy electronically-controlled lock sliding out of place. Does anyone know what this is? (I'm new to Audi, so I don't know if it's some feature that comes on all models, or what. All I know is that I absolutely love the car!)

That is one possibility. Another is that is is simply moving gas around the tank...
like the VW system on the Jetta IV. It did not have FSI. The pump that ran when you opened the door just moved fuel nearer the tank pickup do to an oddly shaped fuel tank.
