Need advice on how to properly launch my S5
Well I've had the car for a little over a year now, and I still don't have it right. This is what I'm doing. Turn the traction control off(hold the ESP button donw for a few secs). Rev the car to about 3,000 rpm, and come of the clutch pretty fast. I'm still getting a pretty serious jerk, before I accelerate. I'm thinking it might be because I'm not gassing enough while coming of the clutch. I don't try too often, because I don't want to burn my clutch. I would like to spin the tires a little bit. I know it can be done, because I've seen it done in videos. Any ideas what the hell Im doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Coming off the clutch "pretty fast" is what you are doing wrong, as it...
...doesn't like that at all. The real key is that you can't come off the clutch all the way, all at once; you can't simply drop-it-and-punch it. You have to sort of slip the clutch.
Rev first, just as you are doing now, then give it about half of the clutch--feel it engage--then more throttle---then the remainder of the clutch---all in as short of a span as you can. It takes a lot of practice. When you hit it, it's sweet.

It will burn it if you simply hold the clutch in the engaged point too long...
...but you don't continue to hold the clutch after you feel it engage...it's a very quick action. Sorry I am not a writer for Fourtitude or Road and Track or something and perhaps I am not articulating the nuances well enough.
