S5: Take the '09 or wait for the '10?
I placed my order last October and of course jumped for joy when I got a call from my dealer to say my S5 was being released to production stock shortly (late April delivery). I have been drooling over this car for the past year and of course can't wait to get one. But here's the $60k question... should I be a little more patient and see if I can change my order for a MY10 with 3G MMI and new rear LED's, assuming that it still comes with a V8? Thanks.

if you are purchasing(not leasing) I would say yes. By the time you take delivery you will have a car that is almost a year old. From what I have read, new models start showing up around september. Just be prepared for a price increase. On the other hand, if you waited a little longer just before the 2010 models are released Im sure you can get a 2009 at a discounted price when dealers try to clear out their inventory for the newer models. Just my 2 cents. Good luck

Wait 4 months and get the V8 plus all other new goodies. But be fair with the dealer on price.
All the reviews on the sport differential make it seem a major step up for the Audi chassis. The S5 is a great car already in any guise.
Audi's 2G GPS kinda sucks so the 3G should be a nice improvement. They also make any build improvements during the early summer switchover so likely a better car all around.

My understanding from Herndon this week is that the MY10 Coupe will be 3.0 V6T with 7-sp S-tronic, just like the new Cab. The Sport Diff is NOT confirmed for US btw.

If you have the patience, then get one of the first...
allocations for the 2010. I opted for a 2009 mainly because the dealer had pretty much what build I was looking for... and plus I did not want the LED taillights.

a few posts on Audizine say the LED lights will be available on late order 2009 models
not sure how much truth to it, but someone had the specific build date for the 2009 models that will come equipped with the LED's
