Cheapest VAG option

I've always been a mac user, which has heretofore made it difficult to have a VAG setup at home. I'm getting one of the new mac laptops that can run windows natively, however, so now I can get a VAG setup.

Ross-Tech looks good, but seems awfully expensive for something I really intend to use only to force the LED's to stay on while signaling. Is there a cheaper alternative that will work as well?

Yes there is........ search to see who has VAG-Com in your area and buy them some beer

for their troubles.

Okay, but is there a cheaper cable than Ross-Tech if I want to BE that guy? Anything for free beer.
