Audi A5 / S5 / RS5 Coupe & Cabrio (B8) Discussion forum for the B8 Audi A5, S5 and RS5 Coupe and Cabriolet Model years 2009 - 2017

Does anybody else feel that the new A4 doesn't look nearly as good at the A5/S5..?

I have started to see them all over Boston and I think I like the B7 A4 more than the B8. I think it's more than just because the A5/S5 is a coupe, but the trunk looks cheesy and the front just doesn't seem as aggressive. I hope the S4 and RS4 look better.

I have to say the only (current) Audi's I like are the A5/S5 and the D3 A8/S8.

Yup. A4 looks okay to me. I like the decklid. But the overall proportions are not as nice as A5.

Default It always looks small to me

Not sure why that is. I was parked next to one at the gas station the other day, and the S5 is basically the same size, but the A4 just looks smaller from a distance.

Default are you sure about size?

The S5 is shorter than the A3. I would have thought the A4 was longer. Its certainly taller.

Basically, the A4 looks like an overweight A5. Dont see many with the LED DRLSs but loads with the 3 yellow bulb DRLs. They have become a fairly common sight over the last year.

Default A4 is slightly larger

1-3 inches bigger in H/L/W, but really not very noticeable side-by-side.

Default I agree. I don't like how Audi keeps making the car bigger.

It's getting to be almost as large as an A6.

Default seeing as i've had both, i agree. although i do like the LED lights of the A4 better

i think they have a little more character to them, sort of like the R8.

Default I think the S-line A4 Avant is "nearly" as good, but the non-S-line A4 sedan is not...

But I'm biased...
