had someone in a Highlander pull up next to me this afternoon.
he and his wife stared, smiled, and gave me the thumbs up. then he asked how i liked the car and how much of a blast it must be to drive. as the light changed i could see him pointing at it in my rear view. a few blocks later when their lane passed mine, i could see him looking in his side mirrors not able to get enough of it.
funny. out of all the cars i've had, stock or modded, i have never had a normal person stop me and say something like that.
anyone else have that happen?

Twice about two weeks ago. One guy at a movie parking lot shouts out ...
"Man, I wish I was you! That is a great car"
Then a few days later, a guy next to me at a traffic light asks me to roll down the window and says "Wow, I did not know Audi made such beautiful cars."
Then there are the hundreds of looks from other drivers (the past several months) as they stare at the LED lights. Makes me smile and feel warm all over. DaSilva is right, the car is a beauty.

Normal occurrence.
Thumbs up or nods from guys on motorcycles. People in parking lots or gas stations (or sometimes on the highway) asking about the car.
Most recently, a cop in an unmarked car pulled me over claiming I was driving wrecklessly (slightly possible -- it is an S5, but definitely not in a way that could justify a ticket). While staring down the car he (inappropriately) asked me what I do for a living and commented that I must do well for myself. I drove away with a request to slow down. Guess this car always looks and sounds like it is going faster than it actually is.

Yes, in a Bentley Continental GTC
drove around in my friend's (rented) Bentley Continental GTC on the upper west side of Manhattan, it was funny watching people try to pull up next to us and check out the drivers, and people rolled down their windows and started hooting and hollering. had Nissan ALtimas pulling up to us wanting to race....please, that thing had over 600hp. nice ride.
