New S5 owner questions
Hi,
I'm a new S5 owner and I've got a few questions I hope someone can help with...
1.) Is anyone familiar with an Audi console iPhone cradle that communicates with the entertainment system? It's a pain plugging in the glovebox.
2.) The drivers side seat top bolster squeaks on the console (I'm +6-ft 240-lbs), I'm putting towel between the two, stops the squeak but looks like hell, anybody else experiencing this or have other suggestions?
3.) Any suggestions for vendors/part number for ceramic brake pads to help keep the front wheels clean?
4.) Any electrical problems with leaving the key fob in the car (in my locked garage) overnight

Answers
1. I don't think there is any such thing.
2. That's not uncommon. Try sticking some felt on the console where it's rubbing/squeaking.
3. Somebody else field this.
4. Yes that's going to drain your battery. The car will read the key in the car and stay active all the time. It will also shorten the life of your key fob battery. It is recommended that you keep the key stored at least 30+ft from the car.

Re: As to 2, my A5 actually had felt installed there from the factory.
I just found an eBay seller in Europe offering the following device: AUDI Apple iPhone adaptor for factory fitted phone prep,
eBay item number: 220358406187. Anybody had experience with this? I wonder...
can I order this from my Audio dealer and will it play my songs or just the phone?
If no songs, does Apple make a long male to female connector, then I can run the wire from the glovebox to the console and easily connect my iPhone. Anybody try this?
