New Purchase
Just picked up the Quartz Gray A5 with black interior. I got 4 compliments on the first day. One came from a guy on the street with a cardboard signing begging for money. When he saw my car, he flipped the sign and it said "Nice Ride!" I could see people in other cars looking. I've had a few nice cars and never seen a reaction like this.
Question: What percentage tint have people used for this color scheme? Any pics would be appreciated.

Congrats!
With black interior your tint will appear dark. I live in Massachusetts and to pass annual inspection (greater than 35%) and avoid getting pulled over for questionable tint i went with 40% and it reads at 33% (some factory tint) and I think it looks great. People can still see me (keeps police happy) but from some angles you can't see in the car at all.
I would go with at least 50% but darker than 20% isn't really necessary unless whatever you do inside your car is questionable!

I can't figure out how to include pictures here, so I'll direct you to my pictures on another site showing my Quartz Gray A5 before and after tint (35% all around).

What part of the state..? Do you have an A5/S5? going from your name you live in Southie and have a TT? you're not far from me.
I had my windows tinted at Wheel Dynamix in Natick, MA. Right off Rt 90& Rt 9.
Give Jeff a call, good guy and he'll help you out. (508) 647-6999.
They do great work. He's planning to come to my condo on Beacon Hill to put UV protection on my windows soon.
Wheels are 20" DPE LS5. Only on in the summer unfortunately, the sand and salt would probably destroy them.

Another (former) Bay Stater!
MA native: grew up in the suburbs, went to school in Boston (BU), back to the 'burbs, then relocated to Nevada 13 years ago. No concerns about sand and salt here, fortunately (except for the desert sand, of course!).

Quite a change from Boston! .... picture location::
The picture was taken right between Comm and Beacon in Brookline at Armory park. You probably went by there when you were a student! There's a baseball field and a few tennis courts and parking, I'm there pretty often in the summer!

It has been many, many years (c. 1980), but I thought that looked familiar! As a matter of fact I used to park in that very spot sometimes rather than using the BU lots. Back then I was driving a '69 Ford Falcon or a '71 VW Beetle!
