A5 with kids
Want to get the A5 but worried whether the back can adequately fit two kids (8 & 5) in booster seats. Anybody have the A5 and also do a lot kid transporting? We won't take big trips in it (have the Q7 for that), but I do need to take them to school/activities on a daily basis. Turning 40 and want something cooler than a typical sedan

Have had the A5 since October and can hoenstly say it is not a problem transporting around kids in the back seat. My nephew is 3 and I take him in my car all the time, mayby once every two weeks. Do not have my own car seat so each time have to put in the seat and take it out once done. usually what I do is open the door all the way fold seat forward and then push the button to move the seat. With the Seat folded forward it moves all the way forward. He gets into the car and I tie him in. Let me know if you have any questions. Also, next time I take him for a ride can take some pics if you like.

I did it for a year
My wife had a suburban and me the S5. At that time I also had my allroad as a 3rd vehicle. Problem I have is that I have 3 kids. I think if I just had 2 probably would have toughed it out. I got tired of owning 3 cars. My kids are 8, 6, and 3.5. I had no issues with them getting back there etc. Its just the right size for them. My only PIA was that I really was a neat freak with the S5 so its tough having them step all over the place back there
I decided after a year to get the Q7 for the fact that I needed a car to fit all 3 at once and was more in need of an automatic these days as I travel into NYC. All that said I would recommend the A5/S5 to others with 2 kids, especially your ages.
Get the rubber mats too.

no problem for me
My two kiddos are 9 and 7. Both now out of booster seats.
Have had my A5 for over a year now with no problems. Sure they complain a little about climbing in the back but once there, they have no issues (except with each other).
I take my 9 yo to school almost every day. There is an unloading line so we don't have to park. The problem there is I have to tell the kids closing my door not to slam it too hard. Usually they listen, but when they don't I cringe every time. Have had more of an issue with the occasional adult manning the line. They always slam it even if I ask them not to.
