Gas Pedal Sticking...?

Anyone ever experience a sticking gas pedal? I was coming out of a turn at about 10 mph and floored it just to see what it could do, (2nd gear btw) at about 4k RPM I lifted to slow down, was at about 35 - 40 mph, and the car didn't slow down, the gas pedal was stuck. I clutched in and it stopped, though I probably burnt the clutch a little because it was giving gas at the same time, but it is okay as I am safe. Anyone ever have this?

Regardless I will have the car taken in to get my electrical system looked at for the esp and electronic hand break failure I had the other day.

P.S. I tried to recreate the pedal sticking...didn't work. One time thing?

Never had that...

...but I would not be driving it. Get it in immediately. Does not sound safe, and I'd want a qualified tech to confirm that it was just a fluke. Or fix it.

gas pedal is electronic (DBW). no mechanical connection to throttle body.

did it get caught on the floor mat?

i have the rubber audi mats and when my cleaning guy didnt snap them back in, they slid forward some. when i stepped on clutch it got stuck on the floormat.
