I run 17" wheels on my S-line. Work great.

It shouldn't matter if you get the right tires

You could probably get away with 16" wheels as long as the tires are high enough profile. It is the diameter of the wheel/tire combination that is important, not the diameter of the wheel.

The issue is brake clearance. 16"s might not fit over S-Line brakes.

They are no bigger than standard A5 brakes... I just checked. S-line does not plus-up the brakes.
