Haldex dead, HPP blue or OEM and....

how do you know it died? does the car actually run still? im asking newb questions here because i did not know this could really happen. was it from a lack of fluid or something? any signs beforehand that were noticed?

Cuz i can spin my front wheels! it runs fine but all power goes to the front. It just happened within the last day and i had no warning signs?? I had been very good at changin ym haldex fluid ever 25k. I got 127k miles w/ stock HPP( electr. controler). oh well, at least it happened after winter is over!... shop says i need new Haldex/rear diff. oh my.
