Routing electrical wires and 12v taps

Hey fellas,

I have a 2000 TT coupe, quattro and

I want to run a positive line off of the dome light down to the car door.

I want this feed to be on the same circuit as the dimmer for the dome lights.

Do you know which wire it is off of the dome light connector?

Also, I do have a "snake" but what is the best way to route that wire to the door? either passenger or driver.

I have no idea on your actual question, but might it not make more sense to run it off the switch or something in the dash rather than all the way on top of the windshield?

Possibly, but I would have to find something that will fade, or turn on with the dome lights.
