Default Audi TT Mk1 reliability -- better info -- please sign up

TrueDelta reports absolute repair rates that make the differences between cars much clearer. Results are updated four times a year, to track cars closely as they age.

Thanks to JET's support, for which we're very grateful, we've been reporting on the A3, A4, A6, and Q7 for some time now. We'd like to do the same for the TT, but need more participants.

Participants report repairs the month after they occur. When there are no repairs, they simply report an approximate odometer reading four times a year, at the end of each quarter.

To encourage participation, panel members receive full access to the results free of charge.

For the details, and to sign up to help out:

55 TT owners signed up so far. A good start, but more remain needed to get these cars into the main survey.

Now 75 signed up, and a couple of model years are now just half a dozen owners short of the minimum needed to get started.

96 now signed up--100 soon?

The 2001 has been added to the survey. We'd like to provide information on all model years--just a matter of getting enough participants.

I've never heard of J.D. Power selling contact info to car dealers. I know that we don't share our members' personal information with anyone.

My purpose here is simple: I wanted better, more up-to-date reliability information. And sometimes when you want something done, you have to do it yourself.

134 TT owners now signed up. Among the Mk1's, the 2001 is in the survey, the 2002 is getting close, and the 2000 is over halfway to the minimum.

We'll have a result for the 2001 in May.

The 2002 has been added to the survey, and the 2000 is now only four cars short of the minimum needed to get started. Total of 197 TTs signed up.

The goal, of course: full stats on all model years. Just a matter of getting enough owners involved.

We have an updated reliability stat for the TT based on owner experiences through March 31, 2010. In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2001: 108, about average, small sample size

Everyone who has been helping--thanks, I certainly appreciate it. We'll have further updates in August and November. With more participants, we could provide more precise results and cover all model years.
