Default Just passed 180,000 on the clock tonight

That is 180,000kms, (about 111,000 mi)- but still going strong.. Gotta say that this car is really a great car- I have had many in my time, and some MUCH newer than my MY98 A6 2.8Q - but this car is somehow just better than the 2000-323i, 2003-325i, 2004-X3 3.0 and 2004-Saab9-5 . Fantastic in the snow- and it does not look nearly it's age!

There are some of the normal 'old' car things- like some rust, and had the alternator die on me- so that was changed- but these C5's really rock..

Cheers-

Rust?? It's got a 11 or 12 yr warranty. Get it taken care of. It's amazing I haven't had any issues with mine like most others - CV, alt.. just a coolant leak at 110k and valve cover/cam seal gaskets recently done. Now at 158K.

BTDT. We are far past that point and continue to enjoy the car with very few issue. You have a looong way to go if like the car and want to keep it.

Just passing 122,000 miles on mine. Still drives and looks like new. Its funny how most people think I have a new car when they see and drive it.

To be honest though, 9 years old just isn't that old. My little vw rabbit hit 29 years this year. It still runs and drives like new as well.

Just bought my 2000 A6 2.7T Tip. Wanted it since it came out when I was in high school. Love the turbo engine. A guy at work bought an '04 A4 and everyone at work thought that my car was the newer one. Plus, he bought it because of its sporty looks and because he thought it was fast. Drag raced him, won. Look forward to building it into a bulletproof Q-ship. I want about 420 hp with a built trans. Love it.
