ok bout to give up...how do i get the rear bumper off???
Trying to install a trailer hitch .... I have removed every freakin nut and bolt I can think of following the bently manual but I still can't get the rear bumper cover or assembly off ...what gives? I tried using the search function but quickly gave up on that. Is there some kind of hidden clip or something besides the 2 flange nuts under the tail light, 3 fender flange nuts, 2 wheel well bolts, and 2 bumper shock bolts on each side ..... oh and the lower cover center torx screw ....... I can't believe these instructions are so poorly written ..... the bumper won't budge so I beginning to believe there has to be some other fastener that I have missed that is not called out in the manual or is somehow very obscure. Thanks in advance!!!

Nevermind-Found the write up-Missed 3rd(torx)screw in wheel well-duh!

Well apparently no 3rd screw in wheel well ... it was the clips holding.....
the bumper to the fender ........ the spatula trick worked well ..... but now my flap jacks are going to have a European taste to them. ahahaha!!!

That's what I was using (and NO I NO LIKE!!!) I now have a hitch! :) >>>>
The bentley process was somewhat simplistic and not quite clear ...... the process I attached was pretty good .... KUDOS TO THE AUTHOR ... the spatula idea to disengage the clips from the fender was the trick i needed ...... or maybe it was a few more curse words and grunting ....who knows???? ANYWAY I NOW HAVE A HITCH ..............WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
