is this a good deal on a 3.2?
Im back after several years, had a 2002 1.8 TT and now looking to get a 2005 3.2. i found one for $20400, 55000 miles, audi certified for 2 more years, 2 owners, carfax looks good. is this a fair price for this car? im trying to get them to $20,000 and they wont budge.
also the engine seems pretty reliable on the 3.2 but im REALLY worried about the DSG especially since i dont know how the people who owned it before me drove it. im familiar with audi's "reliability" and am worried i will be out of warranty in 2 years with 3 years left on a loan. are these 2005 DSGs 3.2 pretty reliable, engine, electronics, and DSG? anybody with high miles (well over 100,000) on their TT DSG?
thanks in advance.
In 2 years of warranty, I can't imagine all bugs not being worked out. DSG is high tech, but really if you change dsg oil/filter I would bet it will last 200K. If it does fail, it will be super cash so maybe get an extended warranty for peice of mind. Seems most DSG probs are with 06 up GTI's, and lets face it mostly all GTI are chippped and 300+torque which is more than DSG is supposed to get.
So, really the 3.2 is solid. Has a timing chain, probably never have to open the engine or tranny for the life of the car. Knock on wood--I don't see the DSG as some weak link.
