Will removing 605 relay affect the whole power steer mechanism?

Will removing 605 relay affect the whole power steer mechanism?

After removing the 605 relay, the car drives great. It still have a certain degree of power assist but better road feel. Someone at work raised the question , will removal of 605 from the power steering mechansium , affect and stress the steering that all in a bad way?

The only thing that gets stressed is your arms when you try to park

at slow speeds. That's why I put a bypass switch in and mounted it just under the light switch so that when I was in those kinds of situations I could activate the power steering. For 98% of my driving I just left it off. The added road feel is well worth it imho

What's strange, I never tried my car without that relay, I don't find the feel to be lacking either.. Maybe my car is different?

The basic feel is good, especially if one campares to most USA or Japanese cars, but try it without for a few days, and you'll wonder why you didn't try it sooner.
