unplugged MAF
How long is it feasable/safe to drive my car with the MAF unplugged.
Background for question: I unplugged my MAF to t-shoot an idle/misfire issue. The issues went away with MAF unplugged so I am just curious if I should be driving my car or not.

I've been driving with my MAF unplugged for about 2 years now. The reason was because when I had it plugged in, my car would bog. I bought a new MAF from the VW dealership and that never solved the problem so I just left it unplugged. I'm not sure what the damage has been so far but everything seems to be working fine.

Thanks Mate! Guess I will check for vacumn leaks and such. Of course with over 100k miles and an origional MAF I may be better off just buying a new MAF and seeing what happens from there. If that doesn't work I guess I will get something to do a leak down test.
