Funny noise on start up
Has anyone had this issue before...
When I start my TT in the morning it makes a loud whining noise. After about 3 minutes or so it becomes even more high pitch for about 15 seconds and then completely disappears. When the car is warm on start up it doesnt seem to be an issue. I thought maybe it was low on oil so I did a change with Mobil 1 0W-40 and Mobil filter. Still is making the same noise. Now i'm wondering what else it can be. Any suggestions?

Secondary Air as in an air pump for emissions? It does sound like an air conditioning clutch going bad but I never have mine on at start up. I havent tried turning it off and back on. I'll try tomorrow.

I had a similar problem and it was an AC fan
I swore the squeel was from the engine compartment and it only happened for a short time after start up but the dealer replaced one of the fans in the dash and the problem was solved.

If you had your cabin fan off would it still make the noise on start up? I haven't tried trouble shooting yet, but that very well could be the noise.
