Car alarm--Audi 2000 A6

I own an 2000 Audi a6 4.2 liter that I bought used.

It is summer and it seems that when it gets too hot, the parked car starts to have its alarm go off. Is there anyway to completely deactivate the alarm

The first thing I would do is find someone with VAG-COM to see what is setting the alarm off.

By any chance, are you leaving windows open with the car locked?

I am having a similar issue. Since it is warmer I left my windows cracked while parked yesterday. Before long the alarm went off. I figured it had to do with the windows since it was the first and only time it has happened. However what puzzles me is that the alarm will still go off with the car unlocked.

I am going to try it today with the interior sensor turned off.

my car does the same thing usually in summer as well - with windows closed. usually everytime i walk out of Lowes in summer, my cars lights will be flashing
