Alarm did not go off during entire wheel swap task...
I had to whale (as in "to hit, thrash, or beat soundly") on the winter rims with my rubber boots to break them off the hubs.
Never once did the car alarm go off. I was quite shocked to learn it was locked the entire time (I had to get my car keys to fetch the tire pressure guage from the glove box).
I want to make my alarm "just a bit" more sensitive... and will break out the VAG-COM and investigate the issue sometime soon.
Any similar experiences out there? My car is a 2001 A6 2.7T.
