hello every1 ,newbie here looking for input
Hi guys,
me and my grlfriend just bought a '02 TT Roadster 61k miles from a dealer for 14k.I wasnt too thrilled aboutthe price on the car but she looved the baseball glove interior and btw is her car.I'll put some pictures up asap after i get the car.
\Whithin a month or so i want to change the DV valve and maybe chipped.Thats where i need your input.
1. What DV valve you guys recomend.(forge?)what abvout the one that makes noise?Any 1 living in NY knows if thats leagal.
2. What chip you guys recommend (APC)?
3. What other upgardes under 1k you guys think will make a difference in driving and fun factor
4.The car still has original 17"rims and the tires I think not gonna last more the 1 year if lucky mayybe 2 ; so the question here is can I fit 19" and how is the ride or should I stay with 18"s ?any other websites besides tirerack.com worth looking at it?

As for the diverter valve goes Forge or Bailey would work good for years to come, in the Chip department I like GIAC and REVO. Under 1K you can go with the Forge turbo inlet hose $180.00 and an intake, that will run you about 250.00 and finally exhaust 42DD sell downpipes for them or you can go with a catback set up like BORLA or Neuspeed or you can do it yourself. Do the timing belt if it hasnt been done yet REALLY IMPORTANT!!!

I have the Bailey and the GAIC and turbo lag is greatly reduced from stock TTs I've driven. The Borla is a nice cat-back, too. I have it and really enjoy it. Some have remarked that the Borla is too loud, but, I don't feel that mine is. Enjoy!

just came from the audi dealer in Lynnbrook NY and they had actualy after market parts so I got a price for a APR chip for $620 installed.Think that's reasonable for an dealer install?
Also friday i'm getting the belt inspected for free(recall)and I will prob start looking for mechanics/shops to changer it.
Guy at the dealer ,his name was John was very nice quoted me for $800 ONLY labor for the tt,so I guess i'm not gonna do it there.
I see the instructions to change the DV valve are pretty simple so I will do that it myself.
What intake you guys recommend.Whats the difference i see some cold air intake too.Give me some names and websites pls

I think that REVO drop the price to $399.00 thats way better. There are a few options on the intake there modshack.info sells some good stuff, also neuspeed.com, evoms.com.

I think that REVO drop the price to $399.00 thats way better. There are a few options on the intake there modshack.info sells some good stuff, also neuspeed.com, evoms.com.

No, do not pay 620 for a APR chip. APR is 500 from just about any tuning shop (or APR directly). They had a special going, I just got my 01 chipped 5 weeks ago for $450 (APR 93 octane). Don't pay much of anything over 500 (if that, considering sales) for a chip!!
