Default Negative camber for 01 TTQ

Hi, my car is lowered with H&R coilovers. For some reason the rear wheels are in very noticable negative camber and resulting really bad uneven wear on my tires.
I was asking my local mechanic if I can fix that for my upcoming new set of tires, but he said the rear cambers are adjustable for TT and 4 wheels alignment won't fix the issus as well.

May I pls get some advise from you?? Thanks v much

Unfortunately there is very little you can do with the stock suspension alignment wise. You'll need a set of K-Mac adjustable rear bushings for the control arms. Or at least a set of adjustable arms on the bottom.

do you need a full KMAC set or a half set to fix negative camber in the rear?

I also have the same issue which is what happens when the TT is lowered. However, since I hardly drive my car (I live and work in NYC) I opted not to install the kit. I have a '01 TT (225 HP upped to 265 HP chipped) with only 10K miles so my tire is minimum and not noticeable. Since I installed my coilovers 3 months ago I only clocked 100 miles. If you do drive a lot you definitely need the kit.

Good luck.

If your TT happens to be one with unequal rear control arms, then you may be in luck. Tell your mechanic to swap the slightly longer bottom with the top one, and use the top one at the bottom.

Then he can fine tune Toe on the front trailing arm attachment point. You should gain close to 1.5 degrees of positive camber back and you may end up with 1 to 1.5 degree of negative camber with a 2" drop from stock. I measured this all myself although this was part of getting my CPP arm constructed way back when.

Thanks Audiboy, I'll ask my mechanic to see if he can swap that.

Also, anyone know how much is the half KMac kit or full kit..whatever needed?
