Help! My 2001 4.2 gets 250miles to a tank!

Bought it a few months back and do mainly city driving, did air filter but haven't done spark plugs yet and no other codes. Any suggestions?

I get 320 per tank on my 3.0 Q (100% city driving)

so whats the problem?

It seems from what Im reading that im still getting 75miles less than the next guy, will fuel filter and spark plugs get it up there?

I talked to my Audi Dealership and 2 mechanics specializing in VW, Audi and Porsche. They recommend:

New Air Filter - Performance Filter because they allow more air in and proved to get somewhat + gas.

Fuel Filter - If not changed yours is clogged with crap. Keeping it run as smooth is best for mpg. This is common that Audi owners don't change. Its recommended in a tune-up from 2 Audi dealerships here and all mechanics I've talked to.

Spark Plugs - Buy high-end, quality, performance spark plugs.

These should show up some better numbers. I've been getting at least 19mpg city with careful driving. I refuel less often before these were performed. I go same routine every day so I notice.
