Help With Tip

So my tip had the usual magnet fall outa place. fixed, and still nothing. i have no cracks etc. in circuit board but im guessing thats what it may be. Where can i get a new board? I went to dealer and they said $350. A few guys have said they got em as low as 100 and was wondering where i can even find em, outside dealership(My Dealership is HORRIBLE). Second, I get a weird tranny shift in my audi. When i come to a stop, and come off of it, it res shifts to second like normal but at about 3-4k rpms it stops accelerating and drops to first and redlines. feels like you hit a brick wall. does this EVERY time. if i slow down to 2-3 mph and rev it doesnt do it, ONLY when at a complete stop, im baffled lol. ANY help would be appreciated!

Also its a 98 Audi A6Q.

I think VAG-COM and measuring blocks can get you a much better diagnosis. Since you have two problems, start by checking codes and fluid level. Next move to measuring blocks to see what is going on with the tip.

actually they did check with vag-com. only codes we got was for low fuel. lol you can see how much information we got for that. =[ also not quite sure on what you mean by measuring the blocks. sorry audi isnt too big around here. its my first one. Ive tried finding someone around here thats used to working on them. Even our dealer doesnt seem to have an idea.

You need to buy the Bentley manual. It sounds like all you did was pull codes. That is the tip of the iceberg for what VAG-COM can do.

First check the fluid level, then pull codes again (make sure you check the TCU for codes; low fuel is an ECU code) then move on to the measuring blocks to view all the inputs and outputs to the TCU in real time.

kk. thanks. I personally dont have a vag-com i took it to the dealer for it. they said only thing they pulled up was low fuel. that itself was like 25 to get that code pulled.
