Very Slow Coolant Leak..
I did SFTA and did not find anything in particular similar to my problem... It is very slow.. moves down about a 1 cm in 500 miles of traveling. Also when I open the reservoir CAP there is little or no pressure... not sure where to look.. cannot find any white evaporate anywhere.. Any thoughts where this could be?? nothing on the garage floor too.. Thanks

my coolant was dissapearing slowly and it was a small problem, i found a whole in a small plastic piece that held some hoses together... hopefully you just have a small leak, i only replied to bump this lol.

i had a slow coolant leak for a while and after a couple fixes that didn't work, my new mechanic suggested adding Bars Leaks tablets to the coolant tank after they couldn't pinpoint the cause without spending a lot of money. $3 for the tablets and 6 months later, no coolant leaks as of yet. any auto store carries them - in several forms, but get the 6 pack of tablets and add 3 tablets to the tank (for the 2.7). in theory it'll last 15,000 miles according to the package. i wish my old mechanic suggested that before he replaced the aux. coolant pump which didn't solve the problem.

Not so! The over pressure relief valve in the cap exhausts out the bottom of the coolant reservoir. So, either you are running the reservoir too full or you have another condition causing over pressure.

I used the stop leak method and it temporarily fixed the leak. However, when my mechanic replaced my clutch he showed me where the auxiliary pump had been slow leaking down over the clutch housing. So we replaced that and the coolant system has been trouble free for 40+k miles.
