Considering purchase of RS 6, opinions please...!!
More than anything i would love to hear any comments on the reliability of the cars with 70+k on them. How many of you have chipped your cars and had consistent reliability? What is the most common component to fail?
Thanks and I really hope to join the exclusive RS 6 crowd that i have admired for years!

This is my daily driver year-around. I've got snow's for the winter and love it. I had an A6-4.2 and S6 Avant prior to the rs. For sheer fun, nothing compares to the torque of this car. Especially after the chip. I think it's a good value at today's prices compared to the other options out there.
Other Ramblings: I picked this car over an E55 due to the seemingly larger interior space and all wheel drive. Yes, I track my car also. It is a heavy car and especially nose heavy.
For what it's worth, Jim
The only major problem I have had was the transmission (torque converter) began slipping. Under warrantee, Audi replaced the entire transmission with a brand new one at no cost to me. My suspension has been fine, but I am taking advantage of the DRC recall and getting all new DRC and shocks in 2 weeks at Audi's expense.
Weak points are the stock brake pads (front, especially), as the RS6 is a very heavy car. I have upgraded to the red stuff and am very happy. I run 20" ultra-light wheels in the summer and 19" in the messy months.
Have not chipped it yet, but planning on that (proabably APR, but still investigating) in the spring. Even stock, the 40-100mph acceleration is awesome.
