New Tire dilemma

Well it's time to replace my OEM tires on my 2007 2.0T S-Line. I am trying to decide between the Dunlop Direzza DZs which look to be a great value and decent combination of performance and the Michelin Pilot Primary which also looks like a good value for high performance (not Ultra). I drive somewhat hard but not hard core and we get little to no rain here in San Diego. I'd like a nice, quiet ride but a tire that will inspire confidence when entering and exiting freeways or taking the curves on CA 1. Any input from other SoCal drivers? TIA

The current on-line issue of Consumer Reports features automobile tires. Highest rated High Performance All-Season tire is Michelin Primacy MXV4 ($126). Just below that and much lower in cost is Falken Ziex ZE912 ($79). The Falken rates low in snow/ice traction and tire wear.
