Stock 01.5 GPS not picking up satellites - diversity box?

Hi all,
about a year and a half ago I slid out my CD changer/GPS CD drive unit to change a burnt out left hand brake light. In doing so I broke a connector on the 'diversity box' (part number 4d0 035 530 c) and my radio quit picking up signals (just static). The connector was obviously for the radio antenna, so I took the box apart and resoldered the connector. Radio worked again.

Problem was, my GPS quit working at the same time as my radio, and I have never been able to get it to pick up satellites since. I don't use my GPS often and when I need one, I just use my iPhone, so I've put off fixing it. Tonight I took everything apart, pulled down the headliner and checked out the GPS antenna, wiring, etc. down to the diversity box. Rechecked the solder job on the broken radio connector, all is good.

Anybody have experience with the diversity box and GPS? It's my prime suspect but I don't know why breaking a radio connector would cause the GPS to quit working, unless something shorted out and fried the circuit board.
