Be careful with your fuel lines as they will leak a bit. Don't go around smoking a cigarrette or anything like that. Also, stuff some clean rags or balled up newspaper into all of the openings: the intake valve holes and turbo inlet pipe connection (where it meets the y-pipe ends).

What helped the most was a set of long handled or long reach pliers that I got from the local chain auto store. They look like these pliers, the middle one with the angled head helped to get the OEM clamps off. Once you do that it's easy.
