Boost leak causing coil pack failure?

Boost leak causing coil pack failure?
I started experiencing a misfire during wot a few weeks back. No misfire during idle or casual driving however. Opened the hood and noticed a vacuum hose had come loose. Secured it with a new clamp and drove off thinking the problem was solved but the wot misfire was still there. No cel until a few days later when I got on the throttle a little and it started blinking and stayed on. Scanned and got a cylinder 1 misfire code indicating a bad coil pack as the likely culprit. So my question, would a boost leak cause a coil pack to go bad? How so?

Yeah, I was thinking that it was a coincidence. I posted to make sure. Could a misfire be weather related (temperature wise?) Today was the warmest it's been since I've been having this problem (at least 15 degrees) and earlier when I was driving the misfire was drastically reduced. Tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer so I'll check it out again.
