TT, Battery/Alternator Question
It needed a battery as it wouldnt hold a charge as had been sitting for long lengths of time. I replaced the battery and all was well for a few weeks.
Thursday while driving the battery indicator (speedo) came on and the car experienced no symptoms relating to a bad battery. I drove it about 30 miles, AC on, about half a dozen cranks from various stops/errands I had to run. I parked the car in the garage and left for the weekend. Last night (Sunday) I try to start it and it's COMPLETELY dead. No dash lights, chimes, or anything. I jump start it and it starts as normal and let it run with the cables connected for a few minutes. As soon as I remove them the car dies and the car returns to a completely dead state.
So what could be the deal, or are there multiples as if the battery was just toast it would stay running after a jump I assume being powered by the alternator, but why would the battery be completely drained after 3 days?
The alternator is relatively new (6mths). Do I have both a bad alternator, and a bad battery and/or short/draw somewhere?
