Is a 90K mile TT a good for a daily driver?
My Passat has 220,000 miles on it and I'm looking to replace it with another daily driver. I've always loved the TT and I am seriously considering buying a higher mileage (80-90k) TT for every day use.
Both my cars had the 1.8. I've done all the work. Timing belts, drive shafts etc etc.
So my question... should I expect the same longevity out of the TT that I had with my A4 (210k+) and the Passat (220+)?
Thought?

The TT is basically a Golf.
The TT electrics are buggy (just like the old British Lucas )though, definitely a week point.
As you probably know the TT was a show concept that was brought to market with few changes in shape. Their is a lot of stuff that is awkward to get to.
But gas consumption is good, if you don't lead foot it 30 mpg is easy. Fun car to drive. The newer TT MkII is nowhere near as good looking.
