Default Noob with a few questions ....

So, I've been considering getting an A5, but I'm doing some research. For all you Audi owners in Socal how much are your registration fees? As far as dealership service, how pleasant, unpleasant has it been? Which dealership would you recommend? As far as maintenance, how frequently have you gone to the dealer to get something serviced? How is the brake dust??

I currently have a BMW and since purchasing it last July, I've had to take it to the dealership 4 times. I can't really complain since all of the services have been free, but I did not expect the frequent visits to the dealer.

Any insights you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Default Really???

Ask questions that make more sense and you will get plenty of replies.
would registration cost actually stop you from getting the car you want? if that is the case try Arizona, is cheaper by a lot just hope don't complaint about the heat.
dealers are friendly until you sign the papers after that you just another number whining at the service department while the car is under warranty.
car companies look at warranty customers as expense not income, they could be nicer to people though.
now there are dealerships that are really good to customers, the problem is you don't even consider driving their cars.
Brake dust??, really?

I have the solution for you

I live in the Los Angeles area, so I can't help you about dealers. Otherwise, I haven't had my 2011 A4 in for service since I took delivery last October. It's been perfect. The brake dust on my 2011 Audi is far less than it was on my 2003 A4 Cabriolet, and what dust there is cleans off much easier than my 2003 Audi. Its been about 2 months since I've cleaned my wheels, and they currently have a light coating of dust on the fronts, virtually none on the backs. I expect the registration costs would vary according to your purchase price. The dealer's purchase cost estimate would give you a good clue. Expect something in the range of $450-$500.
