Thinking of selling my 2007 A8 sport.

I’m thinking of selling my 07 A8, 56K miles with Premium and Sport packages. It has vent/massaging seats and Denison iPod interface. You would have to look hard to find a stone chip. The wheels are nice, but do have some light marks. It is Brilliant Black over light silver interior. It is in excellent condition and everything down to the smallest detail works properly. Best thing is that I bought the 6yr/60,000 mile Audi Platinum exclusionary warranty @ 45K miles, so it is covered until 11/2015 or 105,000 miles.

I’ve always had two seat sports cars and I think I want one again. What do you think is a reasonable price to expect to get? I’m thinking $38 – 40K considering the warranty value.

Warranty

Is a reasonable price, the biggest factor for it is the warranty.
however with the market as it is for large sedans may be hard to meet those numbers.

I have to admit, there are many times I miss driving a two seater sports car. In my case, this last one was an Acura NSX. Then I remind myself of the utility of a sedan, the high level of luxury and appointments in the A8, and how well it performs in the winter (I used to store the NSX for nearly 6 months due to winters in Michigan). Both are fine examples in their class. Perhaps I need one of each?

Regarding the used car market, I received a letter from my local dealership stating that they were looking for several used A8s for their inventory and wanted to buy my car. I never responded, thinking that it may have been a ploy to try to sell me something new (and a VW a that!). I've heard that the used car market is quite strong at present, but I'd want another A8 if I got rid of my '07, and I'm not sold on the styling of the new D4.

I received the exact same form letter. Mine was from Howard Cooper in Ann Arbor. What dealer was yours from?

Yes, mine was also from Howard Cooper. But I live in Ann Arbor, and they are my local dealer, so I assumed they were just going through their local customer list. I believe you're not local, so perhaps they sent it out to a broader area (e.g. Midwest)?
