Default Aux gauges into 1993 90 that didn't have them

So SFTA is failing me today.

Where does everyone normally tap the power and light for these? I'm not finding a good FAQ or pictures to show me the best way to tap these into the system without making a mess of things (more than they already are).

I've got the dash half out, getting ready for HVAC repairs and other wiring repairs and the set of gauges I have is just a batch of hacked off wires.

I've found the plug that has the oil pressure and temp wires...wish I had the mating plug for that instead of the hacked off short wires I have.

Why does everyone insist upon hacking the freaking wires off instead of keeping the proper plugs?!?

Does anyone have the set of plugs for the gauges? The gauges themselves have their plugs but not the ones on the other end meant to plug into the stock Audi wiring.

Will have to be sure those are operational.
Wiring diagram shows a "Center Console Light Booster." Is that just a relay?

I had actually tried to use it, fuse was good, but lighter is not. I'll check for voltage this week.

I need a small handful of bulbs to replace some burned out ones in the dash and aux gauges. Things don't seem to work when you can't see them at night. Heh.

Now if I could figure out WTF is going on with my oil pressure...

I love lights. I rebuild all my swiches in my two CQ.

you will need a few different kind of LED/bulbs. Sometimes bulbs are still better then LED.

#2182 is a very small bulb for like mirror control
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2182-Miniatu...item1e61e91364

#2721 is a bit bigger, very common in audi
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2721MF-Minia...item1e59407e6a
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2721-Miniatu...item1e573fc83d

and
T5 74 37 70 Super WHITE, RED 3SMD 5050Wedge Base LED Bulbs 12V
For replacing the 2721 like in the speedometer
example: http://wp1054369.wp085.webpack.hoste...0c7fn9hhvjf0a2

I also changed all the "doom" lights to 39mm LED
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-pc-39mm-9-...item43a92c44fa

also a very good article about the lights:
http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28798

ps: what plug you need for the oil pressure?
i got like 2 extra sers of VDO, harness, connector, etc

Default Sending unit connections?

I need to be sure that I'm connecting this to the right connection.
The sending unit has two terminals, a white one that has a pictograph of a gauge near it and black one that has a pictograph of a light near it.

I'm assuming this means white for gauge and black for warning light...am I correct?

The connector that would be nice is the one that mates with the brown 2-pin connector that has the oil pressure gauge and oil temp wires in it. The others I've already made something to work well enough.

Apparently the gauge was NOT hooked to the correct wire.
I switched them at the sensor before coming home from work, just a short drive, 3.5 miles, but the gauge swings from 1.5 bar at idle and over 5 bar under hard acceleration.

When I nearly stalled it, I saw it hit 1 bar or under and the oil light on the dash blinked.

Oil level is at the high point but it's still leaking, so it'll go down soon enough. I still need to replace the valley pan gasket and clean and test the check valves.

Dash still beeps at me even though the gauge is showing a steady 5 bar.
