07 S8 Adaptive cruise inop - ACC doesn't work after Radar replace - vag com
Had to replace front cruise control Radar sensor after front end accident on my 2007 S8. Cruise now does not work. Vag Com states: "01044 - Control Module Incorrectly Coded" I tried a couple of different codes. Neither worked. Any ideas? I do not want to pay the dealer $500 to code this. I don't even care if the adaptive part of the cruise works. I just want basic cruise.

Who changed out the sensor - you or an auto body shop? If it's an auto body shop the onus should be on them to fix it, right? You definitely want the adaptive feature working - it's a must-have for laid-back cruising.
A lot of these errors seem unrelated. I would pull the fuses and look for any breaks. Same for the wiring harness in the bumper, though it's probably hard to access. Then I would clear the codes with VCDS and immediately run the program again to make sure everything comes up clean before starting the car. Then I would drive around a bit, run the program again and see what comes back. If it's exactly the same pattern then they are interrelated and you may have to ask an Audi tech to figure it out.
