Aux for mmi on eBay??
Just seen this on eBay. Was wondering if it works on an 06 A8.

Research shows it should work with no problem, and doesn't care about MMI version since it acts like a second CD changer.
Does not appear to be able to control your input device though.
So if you attach an iPod for example, you can only select it as an input - not change tracks.

So you just use the ipod controls just like when you use the ipod as a stand alone dec=vice, correct? That's how I sometimes do it in rental cars with plain aux. inputs when i'm not using my XM Roadie.

I still like my quiet time in the A8 and am on the fence about adding more inputs.

Agreed, it's really nice to put down all the windows on a nice day and just listen to the engine while driving some nice twisty-turny roads.

Personally, I've been in the habit of buckling up since my drivers' ed class brought in people from the dental school, with pictures of what happens to your face in an accident.
Scared the crap out of me (as I assume was its purpose).
