Can I Turn It Off?

At first I thought it was just my Laptop at home, but the same thing happens at work. What am I talking about you ask? I'm talking about the New Tweet Button, Submit Button and all of the New Buttons that Load up at the Top & Bottom of the Page!

It is slowing down the Downloading of Threads when you open them causing a Drag and/or Freezing of the Thread until they Load. Of course the Faster and Better your Computer the Less Time it takes but nevertheless, it is still a Pain waiting for the Buttons/Tabs to Load. I prefer the Old Format without them since I don't use them.

Can someone add a Preference to Turn them Off please? Thanks and laters,

The site has gone into Limp Mode since those were added.
Didn't realize what it was until you mentioned.

If you use Firefox, you can get rid of them with Adblock Plus.

Tried that, but it wanted a bunch of actions first.

Will look into it more deeply tomorrow. Thanks-Jake

ps- I'd kill to have AdBlock on my iPad !

You should be able to right-click on each one of those things you want to get rid of and select "Adblock Plus: Block frame..." or "Adblock Plus: Block image..." I usually block frame over image whenever possible as it should get rid of anything in that frame.

I use Safari so I had to look at the page source and manually generate the Adblock.
