tpms sensors need new batteries, can i do this myself?
i often get "tyre pressure malfunction" warning, and the dealer told me the sensors have weak batteries (it's a 2005 A8). Told me it would cost $1,000 to replace them. I said no thanks. Is this something I can do myself???

This was posted and covered numerous times. Go to tirerack get the price quote of them; I want to say they are like $120 a piece, then go to discount tire, they will match the price and install them for $15 a wheel. They are the OEM exact sensors that Audi installs btw as well.
Best and cheapest route unless you can disable your system (some MMI's can)
This is what I had done with my 2005 A8; and you don't need to replace the spare tire sensor btw. Working perfect.
