Reversing Rear HVAC Sync...

I set my rear HVAC (I have 4 zone) to sync with my passenger temp. I no longer want this config but I can't determine how to undo it. In addition, after initially setting this up - don't remember how I did that either (I drink, a lot) I upgraded from 1070 to 4610 so HVAC no longer shows up on the MMI.

I dunno how to get the menu back in the MMi due to your upgrade, but i know that the rear window lock on the drivers window controls also locks out the rear A/C controls on my car. I note that I had to turn the whole HVAC system off after I did this to reactivate it. Since then, ive been able to control the rear from the MMI (old version still) and preventing use by rear passengers by simply hitting the rear window lock.

Mines an Aust delivered car though.

Color me confused, why doesn't HVAC show up on the more recent versions of MMI?

It does on mine...

at 4610, in a 2006. As soon as I start to chance the HVAC (like the temp dial) at either front control the MMI related screen pops up. Same apparent interface as always.

Perfect. Thank you, yes I have the rear windows on lock down due to my curious 2yr old. That explains that piece.

Interesting... I thought it was a well known fact that upgrading the MMI caused the loss of HVAC controls. I went from 1070 to 4610 (MY 2005) and boom no HVAC in the MMI. Probably a hidden menu. I will test and report back.

Well known fact--not

I did the upgrade personally and it didn't happen. Had also done 3360 and 4140 in earlier years and same non-issue.

There is no reference to loss of MMI display controls for HVAC in Audi's instructions for the various upgrades that I have seen or used along the way. Loss of the TPMS display on the other hand is documented as a known upgrade issue/side effect, and Audi has a TSB on how to re enable that.
