Default 2.8L gasket sets best price?

Normally I have purchased most things at German Autoparts with good success. They don't carry the Valley Pan gasket and I'm looking for the best price on upper gasket sets. I'm not pulling the heads but I'm removing the crank and have it resurfaced.

Thanks

Also, I have a new lower oil pan Gasket and oil pump and gasket. I don't think there is a block gasket set?

I have always used Autohausaz.com with good success. Not sure if they have sets, but if you need a certain gasket like the valley pan they would have that

I'm 100% positive GAP carries the valley pan gasket because I bought mine from them.

From my invoice:

078103771
Gasket, intake, V6 valley
6.19

Whenever you don't see a part on the web site, search by OEM part number or pick up the phone and call them.

You are right on, I typed the part# in GAP and it comes right up. I guess I learned something new. You think its wise to remove the heads to change gasket and valve stem oil seals or just replace the intake and Valley gaskets?

You shouldn't remove the heads unless you're prepared for it with the locking tools.

I started with intake, valley pan, and valve cover gaskets.
I think I'm going to attempt to retorque my heads to see if I can get the head gaskets to stop leaking. That could be a disaster but the shop who did the work prior to me getting it failed to do the job properly and everything still leaks.

I pulled the engine and have the locking tools. I should be able to tell if they leak oil after pulling the intake and V-pan I just didn't want to cause more problems that I don't have. Thanks

Removing the IM and not doing the head gaskets with new head bolts can lead to leaks per the Bentley because the IM acts as a wedge on the V6. Bentley warns of slight warping which can lead to leaks.

Their cure is to re-torque the head bolts another 1/4 turn but everybody will disagree as they are stretch bolts and could break off making a serious issue.

Basically if your going to disturb the IM to replace the valley pan gasket continue and do the heads as well while your there as you might find yourself going back and redoing it all over again.
