How old was your B4 when purchased ??
I'm owner #2.
Had 59,000 April of 2010 when purchased from the (then) CFO of a major industrial/agricultural equipment manufacturer. Vehicle was used by his wife 5 months out of the year to run the daily 45-mile round trip to the country club and back.
Immediate post-purchase work:
Timing belt
Water Pump
Thermostat
4 pads
4 rotors
4 shocks/struts
serpentine belt
Work in the ensuing year-and-a-half:
6 plugs
6 injectors
1 rear window (don't do it. Just trust me on this, please.)
cat-back custom exhaust
positive battery terminal
4 feet of vacuum tubing
Volo Performance VP-12 soft-flash ECU mod.
Now at 78,000 miles, and still top-down on 38 degree mornings.
I ended up with a folder a few inches thick of all the receipts plus his own wire bound book he did himself of parts fixed/replaced, date and mile.
I have of course added quite a few entries myself in the past 9 years and kept the log going.
Some big ticket items lately, other consumables or just updates/upgrades.
I just replaced my entire brake system recently for around $500 in parts, I did the labor.
4 calipers, 8 hoses, 4 rotors and 2 brake pad sets.
I have spent almost as much on the mods as I spent for it initially.
I have no regrets. I will keep it as long as I am alive.
If I got another Audi, I would keep the 95 as a winter car.
