Groan from Right Front at low speed - Common?

Groan from Right Front at low speed - Common?
I am getting a Medium-pitched groan (not a real deep noise) from the front right of my 2005 A8. I can hear it a low speeds only, under 15mph, and it occurs whether I am braking (to slow down at a stop sign), or when I am not braking, so I dont think it is the brakes. It is more constant than pulsating, so I dont think it would be a warped rotor. So, is there anything common to the A8 that I should be aware of, like bad bearings or perhaps a joint issue? Just looking to see if there is an obvious issue here, or if it is something that will end up being specific to my car. Car only has 48K miles. Any help is appreciated!

I had to replace my front wheel bearings at 59k for the groaning noise, but before you do that check the tires and make sure you are not getting tire whine. If it is the wheel bearing it is fairly easy to replace.

I have a similar groan. I can hear it at all speeds, but it's obviously way more noticeable at low speeds like you mention.
I took it in, and they said it was the tensioner pulley bearing. I plan to change the timing belt in about 5k, and they said it's safe to drive until then, so I'm waiting.
Take note of a couple of things:
-does it change in pitch as a function of speed or RPM?
Mine does not change with speed, only RPM.
If it changes with speed and not RPM (obviously they are not unrelated), then assume wheel bearing or tires.
If it changes with RPM, then it's probably something before the transmission.
At first I thought it might be a differential, but after realizing it didn't change with speed, the dealer's tensioner pulley diagnosis seemed plausible.
