Can someone please clarify whether there is currently an Audi Owner Bonus Loyalty Cash offer in effect?

I'm seeing conflicting reports on whether there is a $2000 offer for retail purchasers ($1000 for people who lease) in effect until July, 2012.

 

I got the $2000 offered on the purchase when I ordered my A6.

 

And that was when, please?

 

I can tell you in Michigan they are still offering the $2000 loyalty cash on a new A6. Less on other models I think. Have not made the purchase yet, but am getting close!

 

It would certainly be nice to have that extra money -- maybe Audi wants to make people feel better about all those past repair bills...

 

I received competitive cash, because I had a car from a competitor (bmw in this case) in my house hold. It was $2000.

I took delivery beginning of December 2011, I don't know if they still offer this discount.

 

Here's what Edmunds.com has to say as of today, but I'm not seeing the info elsewhere so I'm a bit suspicious. Then again, Edmunds has probably got more on the ball than some other websites...

Just at Audi dealer today and confirm...$2000 on A6 purchase; $1000 on lease.

 

It's still not completely clear to me how the loyalty incentive works. Will the dealer make a deal (hopefully) off the sticker price, and then the loyalty incentive is applied as a separate discount? Or does the incentive take the place of any deal you might make with the dealer?
