picking up an 2000 tt this weekend??HELP??
hi my friends picking up a 2000 audi tt this weekend. so im asking for help on what to check out or replace on it since it has 190k on it. I know what to look at when going over his car but never owning or working on one before id like to hear your opinions on what to do. i have worked on a plenty of other cars before and few VW's before and found it to not be very fun even though i dont find my e46 M3 always fun to work on either.(comparing to american and japanese cars) so if you have any tips, tricks or good diy pages to share that would be great. i just want to see if theres anything impoticular i should look for when going over it. we already plan one changing all the fluids, filters, plugs and what not so any help would be greatly apprecicated. thanks and below is a link to that car

Yes--- Due for it's third one at 190K!
Vacuum --- boost leaks are next to check for. Various hoses under the intake manifold tear and cause issues.
Check the cv joint boots also at that mileage.
Strut bushings and bearings at the top of the macpherson struts.
make sure the clutch feels "right" the slave cyl is inside the bellhousing , part of the throwout bearing.
Check the instrument cluster --- center display--- fuel-- temp gauges.
That's a start on the chronic stuff.
